It's Snowing!

I have another Christmas card to share today...featuring another digi image from All Dressed Up...this one is called 'It's Snowing'. I coloured him to match the papers from the 'Bundled Up' pad by Crate Paper. I distressed all of the edges, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Spring Swing

Today's card features a cute little Lili of the Valley bunny...the stamp is called 'Spring Swing', so I guess I'm a season behind! I picked some papers from the 'Vintage Charms' pad by My Mind's Eye, and coloured the image to match, using watercolour pencils. I distressed all of the edges, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The flowers are really old Prima ones, and are held in place using BasicGrey brads, and the sentiment stamp is from the 'Cupcakes' set by Hero Arts.

Christmas Penguins

I have a Christmas card to share today...featuring a cute digi image from All Dressed Up called 'Christmas Penguins'. I simply coloured the image using watercolour pencils, and trimmed the panel down to the width of my card base. I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug (to pierce the holes) and a black gel pen and matted the image on to some snippets of co-ordinating purple and blue card.

Soar

Today's card features a bargain stamp I found in a charity shop a little while ago...it's called 'Soar' by Rachelle Anne Miller for Crafter's Companion. I coloured it using watercolour pencils to match the pastel shades of the 'My Girl' papers (by American Crafts). I distressed all of the edges, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

Silly Birds!

Today's card was inspired by the 'Rainbow' challenge over at AAA Cards...and by this double rainbow that I could see from my craft room window:

I picked an image from Hambo Stamps called 'Silly Birds', and coloured them using watercolour pencils. I kept the layout of the card really simple...adding the image to a piece of kraft card stamped with a sentiment (from a set by Lili of the Valley), with some rainbow twine (from TKMaxx) wrapped around it, mounting the panel on to my card blank using 3D foam.

I Baked a Cake!

Today's card features an old Lili of the Valley stamp called 'I Baked a Cake!', which I coloured using watercolour pencils. I paired it with some papers from the 'Paper Hearts' pad by Crate Paper. I distressed all of the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment is from the 'Sanford the Birthday Boy Stuffie' set by Stamping Bella.

Xmas Crafts

I have a Christmas card to share today...featuring 'Xmas Crafts' by Penny Black. I coloured the image using watercolour pencils, and as it's quite a large image, I trimmed it to the width of my card blank, and simply added some faux stitching (using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen), and a senntiment (from the 'Scribbly Christmas' set by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous).

Just Married!

Some good friends of mine are getting married next month, so I thought I'd better make a card for them! It's not going to be a traditional white wedding, so I didn't want to make a typical white card. I decided to make a 'wedding cake' from some snippets of patterned papers (from the 'Yours Truly' pad by Pebbles Inc). I distressed the edges of the papers, and added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. I added some adhesive pearls around the centre of each tier if the 'cake' and a paper flower to the top. The sentiment is from a set by Lili of the Valley.

Pile It On! Challenge - Primary Colours and/or Something Beginning with S

It's the third Sunday of the month, so we have more inspiration, and a bonus theme for this month's Pile It On! Challenge! The themes this month are:

'Primary Colours'
&
'Something Beginning with S'

Our sponsor for this challenge is KennyK Stamps:
KennyK-Stamps-BADGE-IRockWITH-green
Prize - 3 Digi Stamps of the winner's choice!
(NB - The KennyK Stamps shop has closed it's doors, but is sponsoring our challenge one last time)

I made a simple one layer card this time using some cute dinosaur stamps from the 'You're Rawr-some' set by My Favorite Things...I'm not 100% sure...but I think that the one on the left is  'Stegosaurus', so I'm using him as my something beginning with S. I masked off my 'Stegosaurus' using a Post-It note so that I could stamp the 'Triceratops' behind him. I coloured the dinosaurs in Primary Colours using wtercolour pencils, and added  sentiment from the same stamp set.

Here are the challenges I've piled on:

I made a really simple one layer card using a couple of the flower stamps from the 'Touch of Whimsy' set. I stamped them slightly off the edge of the bottom of the card, then coloured them using watercolour pencils. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

Winter Wishes

I have another Christmas card to share today...featuring some stamps from a set by Hero Arts (called 'Winter Wishes') that I picked as part of a prize I won over at the Penny Black & More Challenge a little while ago. Inspired by the Less is More Challenge to use a non-white card base, I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment on to a teal card blank, using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed them using 'Sparkling Snow' embossing powder from WOW. Sadly, my heatgun died in the process of making this card...so if anyone has any recommendations for for a new one, please let me know!

Cat Nap

I told you I'd be back with something more seasonally appropriate...although the weather here in London today has been rather Autumnal! The image is 'Cat Nap' by Penny Black...I coloured it using watercolour pencils. The papers are from the '72 & Sunny' pad by We R Memory Keepers...I simply added some doodled borders using a black gel pen.

Teddy with Penguin

I have another Christmas card to share today (I promise the next card will be more seasonally appropriate!), featuring another (newly mounted) Lili of the Valley stamp, which I think is called 'Teddy with Penguin'. I stamped the image directly on to my card blank, then doodled a simple border using a black gel pen...extending the line of snow in the image to meet it. I coloured it using watercolour pencils, then added a sentiment from the 'Scribbly Christmas' set by Tim Holtz.

We have another fun ABC Christmas Challenge starting today...I'm the host, and we have two awesome themes this month, which you can choose between, or combine:

'N is for New'
&
'O is for Old'
(Just don't forget the Christmas theme!)

We have two wonderful sponsors this month:

and

Prize - $10 Gift Certificate!

There's also a bonus prize from me of this Lili of the Valley 'Perfect Snowman' stamp:

On my first card, I used a new stamp (new in the sense that this is the first time I've used it...but to my shame it's been sitting waiting to be mounted on to some cling foam for months...) Lili of the Valley's 'Ice Christmas'. I stamped it directly on to my card blank, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Scribbly Christmas set by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.

Challenges for this card:
On my second card, I used an old favourite stamp ('Bedecked Antlers' by Penny Black) and old papers (from the 'Bundled Up' pad by Crate Paper). The image is again coloured using watercolour pencils, and the sentiment stamp is from the same Tim Holtz set used on my first card. I distressed all of the edges before adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

I had a rummage through my paper pads for some primary coloured papers, and found the perfect ones in my Penny Black 'Madison' pad. I picked a cute Wild Rose Studio stamp to go with them called 'Bella in Car', and coloured it using watercolour pencils. I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Wonderful' set by Penny Black.
